This newsletter is a little early because of the holiday. Hope y’all don’t 
mind.

Damn did I have a fun show last night in Durham. It was such a pleasure to 
share a stage with talented musicians like Sheila and Kathleen – who knew that “
Your Mama Scares Me” could be so damn pretty with all that lovely harmony. Be 
sure to catch their next show on December 9 at the General Store in Pittsboro.

I’m listening to Ladyslipper Radio. Ferron is on right now, an easy country 
tune with a casual backbeat and lively pedal steel. I love this station.

A couple of weeks ago I opened my mailbox and several letters fell out, all 
with checks for my new album. Thank you so much! I’ve now got almost a third of 
the funding I need. I’m hoping to get most of it by the end of this year so I 
can reserve the studio time and make other arrangements. Like I’ve said 
before, my fans have always been wonderful in helping me with other CDs so I hope 
you’ll come through for me again. I know I need a Paypal link but if you could 
indulge me and do this the cavewoman way, I’d sure appreciate it. There's an 
order form below.

I’m excited about returning to the desert! I hope to see some of you at shows 
in Arizona and New Mexico. Ah to see that big sky again. For those of you who 
aren’t close, I’ll eat some green chilis in your honor. With freshly made 
warm tortillas and hot-out-of-the-pot refried beans smothered in cheese and sour 
cream … okay, I’ll stop.

Ooh! Now Ladyslipper Radio is playing Melissa Ferrick. Swoon.

Better go. All this drooling and swooning is gonna wear me out. Have a happy

4. Helping our soldiers
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Regardless of how you feel about the war there are thousands of soldiers, 
some young and away from home for the first time, who are stuck in the middle of 
a desert without basic necessities. If you want to send a gift to one or 
several of them, check out http://anysoldier.com/WhereToSend   Read their posts. It’
s heartbreaking to know that some of them don’t even get regular meals. Every 
female soldier whose post I read requested sanitary supplies. Many want books 
and DVDs to pass the time. Some are also collecting items for the kids and 
other civilians they come into contact with. C’mon and clean off your bookshelf, 
go through that box of DVDs, buy some snacks and send them off.
